MONTREAL — Air Transat is extending its direct flight program from Halifax to Punta Cana during the summer season.

Air Transat offers direct flights from Halifax to Punta Cana from February to May, with departures on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From June 24 to Aug. 19, flights to Punta Cana will be operated on Wednesdays.

Punta Cana is now positioned as a destination of choice for the summer 2015 wedding season.

Many hotels boast facilities that are designed for a dream wedding or honeymoon, offering refined menus and little extras. The Excellence Punta Cana and Paradisus Palma Real Resort are particularly known for their culinary delights, said Air Transat.
