Air Transat launches Toronto-Prague service

TORONTO — Air Transat celebrated the inauguration of its first Toronto-Prague flight at Toronto-Pearson Airport earlier this week.

To mark the occasion, the check-in area was decorated to showcase the architecture of the Czech capital and a team of entertainers dressed in traditional garb was brought in to add a dash of flavour.

Also present were Des Ryan, Air Transat’s Vice-President, Inflight Service and Catering, Vladimir Ruml, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Canada, and Ian Woods, Director of Aviation Business Development, GTAA, who wished the first passengers to the City of a Thousand Spires a great flight.

From June 17 to Oct. 7, 2014, Air Transat will offer flights departing from Toronto and Montreal to Prague every Tuesday. Air Transat now flies to 29 European destinations, and is the first Canadian airline to offer direct flights to the Czech capital, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
