Transat passengers get more connections to Europe this summer

Air Transat launches new Sun routes from Halifax and Fredericton

MONTREAL — This week will be a busy one indeed for Air Transat, which will be inaugurating three new flights to popular Sun destinations.

These include Halifax-Fort Lauderdale, Fredericton-Punta Cana and Fredericton-Puerto Plata. All are direct flights and will be offered until mid-May 2017.

Halifax-Fort Lauderdale will depart every Saturday from March 4-May 6. Fredericton-Punta Cana will depart every Wednesday from March 8-May 10, and Fredericton-Puerto Plata will be available every Wednesday from March 8-May 10.

In total, Air Transat offers 10 Sun destinations by direct flight from Atlantic Canada this year. From Halifax, it flies to 10 destinations including Cayo Caco, Cayo Santa Maria, Holguin, Varadero, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, Cancun/Riviera Maya, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.

Four destinations are available from Moncton, including Varadero, Punta Cana, Cancun/Riviera Maya and Orlando.

From St. John’s, it flies to Punta Cana and Orlando, and from Fredericton, Air Transat flies to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.
