Air Transat debuts digital health document validation tool

MONTREAL — Starting today Air Transat passengers can upload and validate their destination health documents when checking in online.

The new functionality comes courtesy of a new digital health document validation tool that Air Transat has integrated into its online check-in process.

Air Transat says passengers can now ensure they meet entry requirements when they obtain their digital boarding pass before arriving at the airport.

The tool, using technology developed by Amadeus, will be rolled out in three phases and for now it’s in a test phase. Currently the tool will only validate the COVID-19 test and is available for select routes.

In the coming months, functionality will extend to the entire Air Transat network and will also validate proof of vaccination for destinations that require it.
