Adventure Canada cancels 2021 expedition season in wake of cruise ban

Adventure Canada cancels all Ocean Endeavour voyages for 2020

TORONTO — Adventure Canada has cancelled all scheduled 2020 voyages onboard the Ocean Endeavour due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Noting this “very difficult challenge” for its clients, staff, crew, partners and the communities it works with, the company said it has every intention of operating a full scheduled 2021 season aboard the ship.

“We are grateful to be in a solid position as a company, which allows us to move forward with confidence,” said CEO Cedar Swan. “We have been deeply moved by our team’s resilience and resolve, and by the supportive responses we are receiving from affected clients and staff across the country and around the word.”

“We send love and strength to all who are striving to make the best of the situation. We are firmly committed to get back to doing what we do best: connecting people to each other and the land through innovative travel experiences.”

The Ocean Endeavour, purpose-built for remote environments, is outfitted with 20 Zodiacs, advanced navigation equipment and a top-deck observation room. It boasts a 1B ice class, enabling it to explore throughout the Arctic summer.
