ACTA adds video to its marketing toolkit

MISSISSAUGA, ON — The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) is releasing video content into its marketing toolkit.

The release of video is part of ACTA’s initiative to promote the value and professionalism of the travel agent to the consumer. By adding video to the toolkit ACTA now offers a resource designed to entertain, educate and inspire the consumer to use a travel agent.

ACTA’s marketing toolkit was launched in April and offers digital and printable content that has been designed for ACTA members to support their marketing and PR campaigns. All the materials feature the slogan ‘Without a Travel Agent, You’re on Your Own’ and include the top reasons a consumer should use a travel agent.

David McCaig, President and COO of ACTA, stated, “the objective here is to provide our members with the resources to educate the consumer and promote the value of a travel agent during a travel transaction. Our hope is that as an association we could band together and continue to enhance the consumers perception of our profession.”

It is no secret that consumers love video and web video is seeing massive growth, he said. Watching video online has gone from a niche activity to mainstream. With new devices, video everywhere has become a reality. By taking advantage of the member toolkit, ACTA members can now be part of a growing trend.
