A toast to Profession Voyages’ record-breaking year

MONTREAL — Profession Voyages is celebrating an exceptional year of growth, with record traffic across its platforms and increased visibility in the ever-expanding Quebec market.

Part of the Travelweek Group, the French-language travel trade publication has reported a 54% increase in visitation to its website in 2019 over 2018, surpassing the 1.5 million mark of viewed pages for the first time.

According to Gwendoline Duval, General Manager of Profession Voyages, much of this growth in web traffic has been attributed to social media and its newsletter.

“Every month for the past six years, more and more of you start following us through our newsletter, website and also our social media channels, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube,” she said. “On behalf of our entire team, we’d like to sincerely thank you for all your loyalty and support.”

Devin Kinasz, Publisher of the Travelweek Group, commended Duval and her team for making “incredible strides” in the Quebec market.

“Profession Voyages has become a leading voice in the French-speaking travel industry, with growing numbers in website traffic and agent engagement,” said Kinasz, adding that it has also played an integral role in servicing the Group’s clients and developing unique marketing campaigns. “We look forward to another year of strong growth as we continue to position Profession Voyages as the leading travel trade media in Quebec, backed by our trusted Travelweek brand.”

This year in particular saw more of Profession Voyages than ever before, said Duval. Following the closure of Quebec’s long-running trade publication Tourisme Plus earlier this year, Profession Voyages naturally became the exclusive B2B partner for two leading travel events: Gala Uni-Vers and SITV.

“We left our mark on the industry after co-hosting the Gala Uni-Vers’ 7th edition and launching l’Atelier des pros workshop at SITV, the biggest travel consumer show in Canada,” she added. “These opportunities allowed us to meet agents and industry partners and continue to build strong relationships.”

The year also included the successful launch of Profession Voyages’ new webinar platform for home-based agents, as well as its qualitative e-blast service that boasts an opening rate of over 40%. And according to Duval, its Espace Pro section is also filling up quickly.

“I often hear from agents that Profession Voyages is everywhere!” she said. “I hope you get used to seeing so much of us because we intend to build on this momentum for the year to come.”
