Mardi Gras in Louisiana kicks off today with virtual celebration

TORONTO — Parades may be cancelled but Louisiana will still be celebrating Mardi Gras this year with a one-of-a-kind virtual celebration.

Presented by NOLA.com and Mardi Gras World, the three-day ‘Mardi Gras for All ‘Y’all’ kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. Central. It will be broadcast live on Feb. 12, 13 and 14 at the same time each night, and feature iconic artists, chefs and personalities at some of New Orleans’ most famous venues, including Mardi Gras World, Antoine’s, and Dooky Chase’s.

Slated to appear are Louisiana icons such as celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, Today show co-host Hoda Kotb, and musical icon Jimmy Buffet and more. Plus, there’ll be a special guest performance by Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winners Leo Nocentelli and George Porter, Jr. of The Meters.
