Tim Morgan joins The Affluent Traveler Collection during period of company growth

OYSTER BAY, NY — Travel industry veteran Tim Morgan, formerly of TPI and Virtuoso, has landed at The Affluent Traveler Collection (ATC) as its new Vice President, effective immediately.

Prior to his new leadership role, Morgan spent 13 years at TPI where he eventually became Vice President. He also served five years as globally elected chair of Virtuoso’s technology committee and, most recently, spent two years in senior roles at the network, overseeing Canada and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) regions as well as various luxury travel agency and supplier growth strategy projects worldwide.

On welcoming Morgan to the ATC team, Chief Marketing Officer Nicole Mazza, said: “This is a new year and we are excited and prepared to meet its potential. With Tim Morgan on the team and an enhanced toolbox that luxury travel advisors can depend upon, The Affluent Traveler Collection is best set to help our partners attract and retain luxury travellers longing to get back to the pleasures only travel can bring.”

Mazza also noted that ATC is seeing significant year-over-year growth, despite 2020’s downturn, not only in sales but also in advisors and suppliers seeking ATC membership. This year is off to a promising start, with 19% more suppliers than last year and the addition of over US$80 million in new agency revenue.

“Luxury leisure travel has demonstrated consistent growth over the last five years and we are confident that the segment will lead leisure travel’s return,” added Mazza.

For 2021, ATC has announced new hotels and brand partners including: Ritz Carlton Hotels & Resorts; St. Regis; The Luxury Collection; Omni Hotels & Resorts; InterContinental Hotels and Resorts; Kimpton Hotels; Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas; Wynn Las Vegas and Encore; Preferred Hotels & Resorts; and Red Carnation Hotels.

In addition, ATC is starting 2021 with a new and enhanced ‘Affluent Traveler Collection Hotel Amenity Program.’ In addition to daily breakfast for two, category upgrade, late check-in/checkout (based on availability) and complimentary Wi-Fi, the program now includes a personalized welcome note from the GM, a welcome amenity and an exclusive ATC gift.
