‘Road to Switzerland’ online conference set for Nov. 16 – 17

TORONTO — Switzerland Tourism’s ‘Road to Switzerland’ virtual conference is set to get underway first thing next week, taking place Nov. 16 – 17.

It’s a one-day event but it will be presented twice, to accommodate the varying time zones across Canada and the U.S., says the tourism board.

The first day, Nov. 16, is for attendees in Eastern Canada and the U.S. and starts at 9 a.m. EST. The second day, Nov. 17, is for attendees in Western Canada and the U.S. and starts at 9 a.m. PST.

By tuning into the conference, North American tour operators and travel agents will be able to ‘travel’ through Switzerland from home.

“The love of Canadians for Switzerland will not stop during this pandemic,”  says Pascal Prinz, Director Canada for Switzerland Tourism. “Together with 29 Swiss suppliers, we look forward to reconnecting with our valued partners across Canada.”

“Seize this opportunity and get the latest news from Switzerland to be ready for when travel rebounds,” says Prinz.

In these unprecedented times Switzerland Tourism is looking to strengthen its relationship with trade partners, whose support will play an even more important role once North Americans can travel again, he added.

Switzerland has enjoyed a decade of record growth from the North American market.

Led by Paolo Lunardi, Trade Manager North America, 29 Swiss partners will present their latest product offerings to the North American trade in one-to-one appointments during the ‘Road to Switzerland’ conference.

A recording of the opening session will be available here: https://youtu.be/68wV_a5ZzF8
