Costa pushes back suspension period to end of May

GENOA — Costa Cruises has extended its suspension of cruise operations until end of May due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally suspended until April 30, the cruise line has announced that all operations will now be halted until May 30, 2020.

In its official announcement, Costa said: “Due to the continuation of the emergency situation linked to the global pandemic of Covid-19 and with the continuation of containment measures such as closing ports and restrictions on the movement of people that do not actually allow the company to operate, Costa Cruises is extending the suspension through May.

The cruise line is currently taking steps to advise both travel agents and guests affected by the changes of its reprotection options.
