Two early booking options for Globus’ war memorial tour

TORONTO — Globus’ Great Canadian War Memorial Tour, with five departures between May and October 2020, is ideal for any client with a family connection to World War I or World War II, plus history and military buffs.

Globus says the annual trip pays tribute to all who served Canada during the two wars, taking in museums, memorials and sites of significant interest in France and Belgium.

The itinerary starts and ends with overnight stays in Paris, and in between visits the Normandy Landing Beaches, the Canadian War Cemetery and Juno Beach Memorial. Other sites visited during the tour include the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, Vimy Ridge, Ypres and the Flanders Fields Museum.

“This tour is hugely popular with those who wish to pay their respects to the thousands of Canadians who sacrificed so much during the World Wars,” says Stéphanie Bishop, Managing Director of Globus in Canada. “Our tour planners have gone to great lengths to ensure that each stop and inclusion is selected for its significance.”

Seeing the sites with a group of fellow Canadians makes it even more meaningful, she adds.

With Globus’ EBB, the 10-day tour is priced from $3,504 plus airfare. Cost includes transportation by WiFi-equipped motorcoach, services of a tour director, accommodation, daily breakfasts, four dinners and admission to all sites.

Clients who book the tour before Jan. 28 will save 7.5% off the tour price. Clients booking by April 28 save 5%. After the early booking bonuses expire, the lead in price is $3,789. Globus is also offering an optional excursion to London via the Eurostar Chunnel train.
