Intrepid launches dollar deposits on over 1,000 trips

TORONTO — Intrepid Travel is helping clients stick to their New Year’s resolutions in 2020 with the launch of $1 deposits on over 1,000 itineraries.

Starting Jan. 13 and running until Jan. 30, the new promotion applies to trips that depart between Feb. 14 and Dec. 31, 2020 to over 120 countries around the world.

For clients intent on getting fit and exercising more, Intrepid suggests taking advantage of the $1 deposit by booking its ‘Costa Rica: Raft, Surf & Kayak’ itinerary, which includes rafting down the Pacuare Rivers, surfing near Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, and paddling through Tortuguero National Park.

Those looking to eat healthier this year, says Intrepid, should consider its ‘Italy Vegan Food Adventure’, which includes dining at Venice’s first vegan restaurant, a hands-on cooking class in Bologna, and two nights in an all-vegan villa.

The ‘Portuguese Camino’ itinerary is perfect for travellers who wish to reduce stress levels in 2020 as it journeys from Porto to the historic Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela on an alternative coastal Camino trail. On the way, guests will feat on Spanish seafood and Albarino wine, take restful stops in the seaside town of Vigo, and visit wineries in the region of Caldas de Rei.

While on the nine-day ‘Spirit of Bali & Nusa Lembongan’, travellers can focus on their spiritual growth while attending a water purification ceremony at Tirta Sudamala temple and taking a guided walk through Campuhan Ridge. Throughout the tour, they’ll learn about true Balinese culture, including the medicinal properties of the Javanese Jamu drink.

Lastly, Intrepid’s 15-day ‘India Expedition: Wilderness & Wildlife’ tour is perfect for travellers looking to learn something new in 2020. Highlights include up to 10 included safaris, learning about the ancient tribal art and culture in Bhopal, and seeing the critically-endangered Indian Pangolin in Tadoba Andhari.
