Lufthansa gets contingency plans in place for Nov. 7 – 8 strike

TORONTO — The union representing Lufthansa’s flight attendants has called on its members to wage a two-day strike this week, potentially impacting international as well as domestic flights for the airline.

All Lufthansa flights could be affected by the strike, potentially taking place Nov. 7 and 8, says the airline.

On its website Lufthansa said: “Lufthansa strongly condemns the UFO’s massive strike appeal and is considering legal action to prevent the strike.

“We would like to apologize to all affected passengers for the inconvenience.

“We are currently working at full speed on a special flight schedule for Thursday and Friday.”

Lufthansa says updates will be posted at the webpage as they become available.
