Mississauga Travel owner passes away after long battle with cancer

TORONTO — Lallan Roopnarine, an industry veteran in the GTA travel agent community, passed away Sept. 17. He was 67.

Roopnarine was the owner of Mississauga Travel and was active in the Caribbean market, especially to destinations including Port of Spain in Trinidad & Tobago, for more than three decades.

“He was very well-known in the Caribbean marketplace and he was a very respectable man,” says Christy Kurian, Director, Sunspots Holidays.

The visitation and funeral will take place on Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at Meadowvale Cemetary, Cremation and Funeral Centres on Mavis Road in Brampton.
