Profession Voyages partners with SITV, with 2019 show set for Oct. 25 – 27

MONTREAL — The International Tourism & Travel Show in Montreal, better known as SITV, will take place Oct. 25 – 27 with a new partnership with Profession Voyages.

The travel show, open to consumers as well as the travel trade, is now in its 31st year. Profession Voyages, the French-language Canadian travel industry news source that’s part of the Travelweek Group, has partnered with SITV for the 2019 show for the first time ever.

“We had a historic partnership with TourismePlus. Although this media closed, we did not want to abandon our relationship with travel professionals. On the contrary, we want to strengthen ties with the travel industry in Quebec,” said Catherine Jeannin, Marketing Director of Expo Media, the show’s promoter.

“It is our pleasure to partner with Profession Voyages. We have found that they are very involved in the industry and reflect everything that goes on there,” said Jeannin. “They are a reference for professionals. Moreover, associated with Travelweek, this partnership goes beyond the borders of Quebec.”

SITV is set for Oct. 25 – 27 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal with thousands of destination destinations represented. For this 31st edition, the largest travel trade show in North America is reaffirming its desire to welcome travel industry professionals by partnering with Profession Voyages. It’s a promising new partnership that will give travel counselors even more reason to visit the show, says Gwendoline Duval, Executive Director, Profession Voyages.

With more than a million visits a year on its website, quality information and innovative ideas, Profession Voyages is positioned as one of the favourite media of travel professionals in Quebec. Profession Voyages will support SITV and participate in the development of new activities at SITV dedicated to professionals.

“The International Travel Tourism Show is a remarkable event in which we participate each year. This collaboration is natural and obvious because we have one goal in common: to inform,” says PV’s Duval. “I believe that the SITV is an excellent opportunity to stay abreast of trends. It is also an ideal place to build business relationships with new suppliers and destinations. Thanks to this partnership, we hope to bring more professionals. Over the years, we will gradually offer new activities and events so that they can take advantage of the event to grow their knowledge and their professional activity.”

Adds Jeannin: “It is expected that this agreement will continue over time and, for SITV, be the showcase for professionals.

“We are more and more convinced that the International Travel Tourism Show is the ultimate event for all travel professionals.”

SITV is a gold mine for travel industry professionals looking for new travel ideas to surprise their customers, notes Duval. On site agents will find more than 400 exhibitors and more than 10,000 travel ideas.

Admission is free for travel industry professionals. Agents are asked to check in at the Profession Voyages booth, located at the entrance of the show, equipped with a business card.

Agents looking to bring clients can email Profession Voyages at marketing@professionvoyages.com to receive an exclusive promotional code. Agents attending the show will also have the chance to win a door prize and participate in training workshops.

Last year attendance at SITV was 36,700, an increase of 8%. For more information on the show see salontourismevoyages.com.
