Retention, growth, recruitment: TPI wraps up Summit series

More than 300 advisors and 30 preferred partners took part in the annual TPI Summit series, the host agency’s most-attended training and networking events of the year.

Summits took place in nine cities across Canada over 11 days in May. Sponsors included Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations, Allianz Global Assistance and Transat Holidays/Nolitours.

TPI’s main message was three-fold, said VP Tim Morgan:

  • Retention – Continuing to innovate for existing advisors with a focus on technology enhancements and tools.
  • Growth – Increasing margin, continuing shift to higher margin products, focus on FIT, cruise and luxury (Virtuoso and others). “We’re focused on working smarter, not harder,” said Morgan.
  • Focused Recruitment – Inviting only the top experienced advisors to join TPI, and only taking on the top new-to-the-industry advisors to TPI based on specific criteria around entrepreneurship and proven business acumen, said Morgan.
