G Adventures unveils 2027 FAM lineup

TORONTO — From Ecuador’s Amazon to Bali’s beaches, G Adventures is giving Canadian travel advisors six FAM opportunities to experience its community tourism approach firsthand in 2027.

Going beyond traditional site inspections, the trips are designed to help advisors build product knowledge across G Adventures’ travel styles, including cultural immersion, solo travel, active adventures and National Geographic Journeys. Advisors will be able to connect with local project leaders and community tourism initiatives supported by Planeterra, G Adventures’ non-profit partner, and see how tourism spending supports local host communities.

Next year’s FAM schedule includes Journeys: Ecuador’s Amazon and Volcanoes, Solo-ish Guatemala, Journeys: Wonders of China, Highlights of Turkey, Classic Bali & Komodo Island, and Hiking in Madeira.

“Our travel advisor partners are the heartbeat of our business, and there’s no substitute for experiencing community tourism in person,” said David Green, VP of Sales and Managing Director, Canada, for G Adventures.

“When an agent steps into a local community enterprise, travels alongside a CEO (Chief Experience Officer), or walks through a Planeterra project, their perspective transforms. They return home not just as sellers of travel, but as passionate advocates for community-led tourism.”

Each FAM group will be accompanied by an expert local Chief Experience Officer and a member of G Adventures’ Canadian sales team, providing destination expertise and training throughout the trip. Through the company’s Trees for Days initiative, one tree will also be planted for every day an advisor spends on a FAM.

Plus, G Adventures’ advisor support extends beyond FAM trips through monthly In the Loop webinars, agent discounts and its G Dollars incentive program.

“We view our relationship with travel advisors as a true partnership. When they succeed, we succeed,” said Erin Rogers, National Sales Manager for Canada. “We’re 100% committed to giving agents the exact tools, experiences, and confidence they need to succeed.”

Travel advisors interested in applying for a 2027 FAM trip or learning more about agent incentives and educational opportunities can contact their local Global Purpose Specialist or join the G Adventures Canadian Agents of Change Facebook group.
