TORONTO — Alma Ortiz is stepping into a broader leadership role at The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND), taking on the title of Director of Supplier Relations.

Ortiz joined TTAND in June 2016 and has since grown her portfolio to include 70 supplier partners and 10 destination management companies, contracting new partnerships, managing renewals and overseeing revenue growth and market-share development. 

She also manages the company’s National Conference and brings more than 20 years of travel industry experience to the position.

Ortiz began her career in 1999 with North American Leisure Group, which later became Thomas Cook and is now TravelBrands. As Event Coordinator in Inside Sales, she managed annual product launches and roadshows across Ontario and Atlantic Canada, along with brochure distribution for Thomas Cook’s brand portfolio.

“I am extremely proud of Alma. In her supplier relations role, she has been a major part of our growth at The Travel Agent Next Door and has also managed our conferences,” said Flemming Friisdahl, Founder and President. “We have worked together for 20 years starting at Thomas Cook and more recently with TTAND.”
