TORONTO — More airlines are celebrating wins from the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Last week came news that carriers including Air Canada, Porter Airlines, Transat Airlines, Air France and Lufthansa brought home hardware and congratulations from the annual ceremony, held in London.

The latest airline to announce its wins is Turkish Airlines, named ‘Best Airline in Europe,’ for the 11th time. The carrier also received the ‘World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering’ award for the 10th time and the ‘Best Airline in Southern Europe’ award for the 13th time. Turkish Airlines  received five additional awards across the Economy and Business Class categories in Europe and Southern Europe, bringing its total number of awards at the ceremony to eight.

“The fact that these awards are based directly on our passengers’ evaluations makes them particularly meaningful to us. As we bring Turkish hospitality to guests from around the world, we continue to work to further enhance our service quality at every touchpoint,” said Turkish Airlines’ Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof Murat Şeker.

The awards are based on customer satisfaction surveys, evaluating the quality of airline products and services both onboard and on the ground. More than 24.8 million travellers from 100+ countries take part.
