Trevello advisors earn three of Canada’s five Global Piton Awards

TORONTO — Three independent advisors affiliated with Trevello Travel Group have been recognized with the 2026 Global Piton Award, one of the highest honours presented by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority to travel professionals worldwide.

In a year when only five Canadian travel advisors received the distinction, Trevello advisors accounted for three of the recipients. The recognized advisors are Lois Barbour of Travel Time, Kim Hartlen of Kim Hartlen Travel and Jennifer Gaskell of Pink Palm Travel.

In addition to receiving a Global Piton Award, Barbour was presented with the CEO Award for Canada, the event’s top individual honour.

Presented annually by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, the Global Piton Awards recognize travel advisors for outstanding sales performance, destination advocacy and client service that have contributed to Saint Lucia’s tourism industry. The awards are named after Saint Lucia’s iconic Piton Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The three Trevello advisors, who hail from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Ontario, travelled to Saint Lucia from June 11-15, 2026, for an exclusive recognition program that included destination experiences, cultural events and the Global Piton Awards Soirée.

“This recognition speaks to the passion, expertise and dedication that our advisors bring to their clients every day. To have three of the five Canadian recipients come from Trevello is nothing short of extraordinary. It is a powerful statement about the calibre of professionals who call Trevello home,” said Zeina Gedeon, CEO, Trevello Travel Group.
