TORONTO — Porter Airlines is continuing its rapid network expansion with the launch of new routes connecting Boston with Toronto and Montreal, alongside the addition of new domestic service from Hamilton to Winnipeg and St. John’s.
The carrier has introduced new service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and both Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), further strengthening its presence in the U.S. Northeast market.
The Toronto Pearson-Boston route operates 14x weekly using Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, while the Montreal-Boston service operates daily aboard the De Havilland Dash 8-400.
The additions build on Porter’s existing Boston service from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Ottawa (YOW), bringing the airline’s total Boston frequency to eight daily flights.
The new Toronto Pearson route also marks the first time Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft has operated into Boston Logan. Passengers travelling aboard the aircraft have access to complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, available across Porter’s E195-E2 fleet.
“Porter has served Boston since 2009, and today’s launch from Toronto Pearson and Montreal marks another new chapter in that relationship,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting, Porter Airlines.
“We’re excited to bring the E195-E2 to Boston Logan for the first time, and with expanded service from two major Canadian gateways, we look forward to giving even more travellers access to Porter’s elevated onboard experience.”
The new routes are also expected to strengthen onward connectivity for U.S. travellers through Porter’s Canadian network. Through Toronto Pearson and Montréal-Trudeau, passengers can connect to destinations including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax and Vancouver.
In addition, Porter’s joint venture partnership with Air Transat provides access to onward European connections from Canada, including Amsterdam, Paris and Barcelona.
NEW HAMILTON ROUTES
At the same time, Porter is also growing its Hamilton network with the launch of two new domestic routes aboard the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
Nonstop service between Hamilton International Airport (YHM) and Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG) launched on May 14, operating up to six weekly roundtrips. Hamilton-St. John’s (YYT) service begins today, with daily flights planned by late June.
The Winnipeg-Hamilton route departs Winnipeg at 6:55 p.m., arriving in Hamilton at 10:09 p.m., while Hamilton departures leave at 7 a.m. and arrive in Winnipeg at 8:25 a.m. Flights between Hamilton and St. John’s depart Hamilton at 9:10 a.m. and arrive at 1:50 p.m., while return flights leave St. John’s at 2:45 p.m. and arrive in Hamilton at 4:50 p.m. All times are local.
“We’re emphasizing our commitment to Hamilton by giving passengers even more options when planning their travels,” said Pierce. “The addition of Winnipeg and St. John’s gives travellers the ability to choose Porter for these destinations and enjoy their flying experience the moment they step onboard our aircraft.”
Travellers in the Greater Hamilton Area now have nonstop access to 14 destinations through Porter. Since launching Hamilton service in June 2025, the airline has introduced eight domestic routes, two transborder routes and three sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean, including newly announced service to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Across all routes, Porter continues to offer its signature onboard service, including no middle seats, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware and premium snacks.
