Air Transat launches new Montreal–Agadir service for summer 2026

MONTREAL — Air Transat is expanding its reach in Morocco with the launch of a new nonstop service between Montreal and Agadir as part of its summer 2026 program.

According to Sebastian Ponce, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, the new addition reflects strong demand from leisure travellers and the Moroccan community in Quebec and complements the airline’s existing route to Marrakech.

Air Transat is now the only North American carrier to offer nonstop flights to Agadir.

“Morocco is more popular than ever, both for its landscapes and rich culture, as well as for the diaspora ties that unite our two regions,” said Ponce. “With this non-stop service to Agadir, we are offering a simple, fast and friendly connection, true to Air Transat’s promise to make travel inspiring and enjoyable every step of the way.”

The new Montreal–Agadir route will operate every Friday from June 12 to Oct. 23, 2026, aboard an Airbus A321LR. The service is aimed at leisure travellers looking for sun destinations as well as members of Quebec’s Moroccan community visiting family and friends.

Alongside the Agadir launch, Air Transat is boosting frequencies on several key transatlantic routes from Toronto for summer 2026 to meet rising demand. The airline will add one additional weekly flight each on routes to Berlin (BER), Lima (LIM) and Istanbul (IST), bringing each destination to three flights per week at peak season. These enhancements will also improve connectivity through Toronto in coordination with Porter Airlines’ growing network.

Flights for the new and expanded routes are now available for booking, with more announcements expected as Air Transat finalizes its summer 2026 schedule.
