Celestyal welcomes new global chief commercial officer

ATHENS — Celestyal will have a new global chief commercial officer (CCO) at the reins.

Lee Haslett, who comes to the company from Virgin, will take over the role from Leslie Peden on Feb. 20, 2023. Peden has been with Celestyal for over five years, initially as vice president, North America before serving as the company’s CCO.

Prior to his new role, Haslett served as vice president, global sales for Virgin Atlantic where he focused on key North American and European markets. As Celestyal’s new CCO, he will report to CEO Chris Theophilides and will be based in the UK, sharing his time between the United States, the main European markets and Greece. 

As CCO, Haslett will oversee a global team of over 60 travel professionals covering the entire spectrum of Celestyal’s commercial activities including sales, strategic business development, marketing, commercial PR functions, contact centers as well as revenue management.

On welcoming Haslett to the team, Theophilides said: “Lee joins Celestyal at an exciting time, as we intensify our efforts and invest in substantially broadening Celestyal’s presence in key markets … We look forward to making additional exciting announcements in the near future as we continue our journey of strengthening Celestyal’s position as the leading provider of the award-winning multi-destination vacation experiences in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean that the company has fast become known for.”

Theophilides also extended his gratitude to Peden for his significant contributions over the years, saying that “he has been an integral part of the company’s senior leadership” and wishing him well in his new endeavours.
