Virgin Voyages reveals the name of fourth ship

MIAMI — A new lady is making her way up the ranks at Virgin Voyages.

The cruise line has announced that its fourth ship will once again honour the strong, fierce and independent spirit of women. Named Brilliant Lady, the new ship will join Scarlet Lady, the line’s first vessel that launched in 2020, and sister ships Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady, both of which are helmed by two mermaids to match.

Like its predecessors, Brilliant Lady’s name was carefully selected, says the cruise line. Brilliance, which means both radiance along with exceptional talent and intelligence, was purposefully chosen for the duality of its meaning.

“We sought out a name that exemplifies our brand’s values and ethos, the truest representation of our mission to ‘Create an Epic Sea Change For All,” says the company. “As our goal has always been to create a bright and radiant experience for our sailors – much like the sparkling seas Brilliant Lady will sail on – it was only appropriate that our fourth ship name reflect that.”

Virgin Voyages went on to note that the name aims to highlight the “powerful intelligence of women” around the world, particularly those who are “aware of their importance and confidently in touch with their own sense of self worth.”

Brilliant Lady’s destinations and itineraries will be announced soon. In the meantime, guests can sail aboard the Scarlet Lady from Miami (available now), on Valiant Lady from Barcelona (starting May 15), and on Resilient Lady from Athens (starting Aug. 14).
