TORONTO — Love is in full bloom at AMR Collection, which profiled its top destination wedding offerings during yesterday’s Canadian Travel Agent Exclusive event.

The one-hour virtual event included live feeds from various resort properties in the Caribbean to provide viewers an up-close look at wedding gazebos, beachside wedding venues and poolside reception areas.

In addition, interactive games were held that included 11 resort-stay giveaways ranging from three to seven nights.

Here are some resort wedding highlights from yesterday’s event:

Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay, Jamaica

Weddings are held Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. Wedding packages are designed for up to 10-30 guests but couples have the option to add additional guests. There are three wedding gazebos that overlook the water and are able to accommodate up to 15 guests. The resort also offers direct beach wedding locations that can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Zoëtry Montego Bay

Located just seven minutes from Sangster International Airport, Zoëtry Montego Bay hosts just one wedding per day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Couples can upgrade to tie the knot in a sunset ceremony. The ‘Art of Love’ package includes the services of a wedding coordinator, boutonniere/bouquet, an instrumentalist, private cocktail/reception for up to 25 guests and a DJ.

Dreams Las Mareas, Costa Rica

For a truly unique wedding venue, Dreams Las Mareas offers weddings for up to 500 guests in a forested area on La Arboleda Beach, where monkeys have been known to frequent glamourous receptions. At this resort, only two weddings per day are held between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. All weddings are customizable.

Dreams Playa Bonita, Panama

Located 20 minutes from the city centre, this 301-room and suite resort offers 18 different wedding venues, eight of which are outdoors. For large weddings, an indoor ballroom can accommodate 600 guests. Other popular venues for weddings include the Oceana Restaurant featuring a beautiful outdoor terrace, and the Garden Plaza, which is ideal for outdoor weddings of 150 people.

Dreams Curacao

Just 10 minutes from the airport, Dreams Curacao hosts four weddings per day. Outdoor weddings have a curfew of 11 p.m. There’s a spa and beauty salon on site, plus six outdoor wedding venues and seven indoor. With 197 rooms facing both the ocean and lush gardens, it’s recommended to book weddings early for highly coveted oceanview rooms.

Sunscape Curacao

There are three wedding venues on location, including a wedding gazebo with a garden view that’s ideal for couples on a budget and has a maximum capacity of 100 people. For the ‘wow’ factor, weddings in the Peninsula area are a popular option for its incredible beach and water views. Known as an ‘island park,’ the area can include a gazebo and an intimate reception setup, making couples feel like they’re getting married on the water.

Secrets St. Martin

Located in the culinary capital of the Caribbean, Secrets St. Martin offers a brand new wedding centre where brides are given the royal treatment. Only one wedding per day is performed at the resort; legal and same-sex weddings are available. Other top-selling points include a private beach with gazebo, the largest infinity pool in the western Caribbean (it takes five entire days to fill!), and private boat transfer from the airport directly to the resort’s on-site marina.
