Emerald releases new details on 2022 Special Interest Cruises

VANCOUVER — Three of Emerald Cruises’ most popular itineraries in its newly launched Special Interest Cruise collection have been reimagined, now featuring customized tours and onboard events that highlight each region they visit.

In addition, guests booking their 2022 Special Interest Cruise by June 27, 2021 will receive a complimentary Premium Drinks package, along with a savings of $2,000 per couple. Those paying in full 12 months in advance of sailing will receive an additional 10% off the fare. Plus, all bookings come with the line’s flexible booking policy that allows guests to defer travel plans and transfer to an alternate departure date or itinerary up to 60 days prior to departure with no fees.

The three reimagined Special Interest Cruise itineraries are as follows:

  • Wines of the Moselle Cruise (8 days): On this sailing between Mainz and Bernkastel, guests will enjoy guided tours and tastings at Schloss Vollrads wine estate in Weisbaden and Eberbach Abbey in Rüdesheim, as well as a hike through the vineyards of a family-owned wine estate in Koblenz. Several other opportunities for tastings round out the itinerary. This itinerary starts at $3,195 per person, double, departing Aug. 21 or 29, 2022.

 

  • Danube Spa, Arts and Culture Cruise (8 days): Priced from $3,545 per person and departing July 21, 2022, this itinerary travels between Budapest and Passau, Germany and visits three of Europe’s iconic capital cities. Highlights include a traditional spa experience in Szentendre, Hungary, a visit to the home of a local Slovakian family in Bratislava, an art tour in Vienna, a hike through Austria’s Wachau Valley, a photography tour in Linz, and a traditional Bavarian brunch on a local farm in Passau.
  • Rhine Spa, Arts & Culture Cruise (8 days): Sailing from Mainz to Basel, this itinerary takes in the cultural highlights of Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Mannheim, Rastatt, Strasbourg and Breisach. Guests will enjoy a spa day in Baden-Baden, Germany, sample wine at Eberbach Monastery in Rüdesheim, enjoy a photography tour of Strasbourg and embark on a food tour in Colmar, France followed by a Flammenuchen-making workshop onboard. Prices start at $3,545 per person, departing June 26, 2022.
