“Major winter storm” expected tomorrow in southern Ontario

TORONTO — Old Man Winter is about to hit the Greater Toronto Area in full force.

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for parts of southern Ontario, including the GTA, reports Global News. A “major winter storm” is expected to hit the region tomorrow.

According to the weather office, a low pressure area emerging from Texas will head in a northeastward direction, just south of Lakes Erie and Ontario on Wednesday night and Thursday.

The region is expected to see snow mixed with ice pellets, making for an icy and slushy commute on Thursday morning.
