‘Italy meets Canada’ gathering highlights Italian travel with Turkish Airlines

TORONTO — Travel industry professionals gathered at Clubhouse Toronto yesterday to hear about Italy’s beautiful destinations – from iconic to hidden gems – and how they’re all reachable with airline partner Turkish Airlines.

The event was organized by Turkish Airlines, Connect2Italy and Mancini Worldwide, and supported by the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT) and the Consulate General of Italy, Toronto.

Under the theme ‘Italy Meets Canada’, organizers highlighted Bella Italia, from the Alps to Sicily, with a special focus on upcoming events in Italy including Jubilee 2025, Roots Tourism and the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Salvatore Basile, Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT) Canada Country Manager, told travel advisors and suppliers that ENIT is committed to supporting the travel industry. “You are a crucial element of our success,” he said.

Solen Mailoglu, Sales Manager, Toronto, Turkish Airlines, outlined TK’s offering from Canada (ex Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal) and how travellers can connect to destinations all around Italy with the carrier’s extensive network. Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines flies to some 345 worldwide destinations in 130 countries.
