TORONTO — Discover the World has announced two new National Sales Managers in Canada: Kim Barbisan and Kevin Pohlmann.
Both travel industry veterans, Barbisan and Pohlmann were officially welcomed to the team by Jane Clementino, Director of Discover the World Canada. Said Clementino: “Kim and Kevin bring incredible travel industry experience built on their relationship strengths, vast sales and marketing capabilities and marketplace insights.”
Barbisan, who has worked in the travel industry for 40 years, will lead all sales and marketing for Tradewinds Voyages and Hebridean Island Cruises. Prior to joining Discover the World, she served as Members Service Director for TRAVELSAVERS and Ensemble, Area Sales Manager for Air Canada Vacations, and Director of Sales for Cruise Strategies Ltd where she was responsible for niche market luxury cruise lines like Windstar, Seabourn and Hebridean. Most recently, she worked for WestJet/WestJet Vacations as a Business Development Manager.

Pohlmann, who has worked in the travel industry his entire career, brings with him vast experience in the aviation sector. He previously served as Regional Sales Manager Western Canada for Cathay Pacific Airways, and most recently as a Business Development Manager for WestJet. In his new role as Regional Sales Manager, he will oversee the Singapore Airlines account, expanding trade relations in Western Canada and securing corporate business contracts for the airline.
