Zero change fees and free COVID medical coverage on most all-inclusive packages with Sunwing

TORONTO — As travel begins to reopen in earnest Sunwing is reminding agents that it offers zero change fees plus free COVID-19 medical coverage on most all-inclusive packages.

The goal is to make it as easy as possible for agents and customers to navigate the new world of travel with more flexibility, insurance options and relevant content than ever before, says Sunwing’s Chief Marketing Officer, Samantha Taylor.

Plus, agents and customers will find relevant COVID-19 content on destination, hotel and Travel Requirements landing pages at Sunwing.ca. The information at the landing pages takes the guesswork out of the vacation planning process, providing current information on travel regulations, including destination entry requirements, insurance options, PCR testing information, a pre-departure checklist and tips for returning to Canada.

“We want to make the travel process stress-free from start to finish, and help Canadians navigate travel requirements and get back to vacationing under our wing,” says Taylor. “Agents and customers will have everything they need right at their fingertips on Sunwing.ca, including key content directly on destination and hotel description pages, from entry regulations to on-site PCR testing and COVID-19 coverage. Plus, more valuable information and resources are available on our Travel Requirements page. This is all part of our ongoing commitment to provide Sunwing customers with peace of mind when travelling so they can focus on what matters most: enjoying their vacation.”

Complimentary COVID-19 medical coverage is offered on most all inclusive vacation packages that include flights onboard Sunwing Airlines, and is applicable on packages booked by Nov. 11, 2021 for departures Nov. 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022. The insurance is underwritten by Manulife and provides coverage in the unlikely event that customers contract COVID-19 and need to seek emergency medical coverage while on vacation. Customers can also opt to upgrade to the Manulife Pandemic Travel Plan from $4 per day for full trip interruption benefits, including quarantine costs, new return flights if required and more.

Agents and customers can also easily identify which hotels and resorts offer on-site PCR testing with a new On-Site PCR Test icon and detailed testing tab on applicable hotel pages, in addition to a list of off-site testing locations on the Travel Requirements page. Select destinations have also been designated as Easy Entry Destinations, chosen for their simple entry regulations and limited restrictions such as no inbound testing requirements.

Sunwing is also offering savings of up to 45% off popular vacation packages with its Yes You Can sale.
