Saved by Travel Insurance is an innovative travel insurance campaign that aims to educate Canadians on how important it is to purchase travel insurance, not only to help protect themselves or their loved ones from emergency medical expenses
while travelling, but also to help protect their financial investment.
So often, we hear of negative travel insurance stories in the media, and the benefit of travel insurance is often debated. The perception is that the cost of travel insurance is high and that travellers feel they don’t need it or that the insurance company will not pay their claim. But the goal of Saved by Travel Insurance is to show consumers just how reliable and beneficial it can be.
Real-life success stories
Through editorial profiles and engaging video interviews, Manulife clients will tell personal stories of overcoming diseases, broken bones and harrowing trip cancellation and interruption ordeals. They’re excited to tell their tales in hopes that others will be saved by travel insurance, just as they were.
The campaign will help educate and build awareness on the importance of travelling with protection, and that Manulife can be trusted to pay their clients’ claims – straight from the mouths of Canadians who have benefitted from claims.
How the campaign works
These exciting video and editorial testimonials will be housed on our B2B booking platform, IGO Insured (igoinsured.com).
• Editorials: Imagine you’re planning a fun family trip, but a week before you leave you contract a potentially deadly disease? What if you fly over your bike’s handlebars in California, suffering a concussion and broken ribs? These stories will show how Manulife helped people overcome hardships like these, and many more.
• Videos: With the backdrop of a fun, vacation-selfie theme, you can watch clients tell stories of how their unfortunate experiences were made a lot easier thanks to their travel insurance coverage.
