WOW air’s new Edinburgh flights take off

TORONTO — WOW air has introduced a Toronto-Edinburgh route with lead-in one-way fares from $249.99, all-in.

Flights depart Toronto twice weekly and operate via Iceland. WOW air is billed as Iceland’s only ultra low-cost airline.

“We’re excited to give Canadians an even bigger taste of what the UK has to offer,” said WOW air Founder and CEO Skúli Mogensen.

Flights depart Toronto on Tuesdays and Saturdays with a two-hour layover in Iceland. WOW Air’s other UK destinations include Bristol and daily flights to London.

WOW air’s annual passenger capacity is projected to more than double in 2016 to over 1.8 million, up from approximately 840,000 in 2015. The airline was launched in November 2011. WOW air’s website is wowair.ca.
