WestJet launches more nonstop service from Calgary with new flights to New York and Prince George

CALGARY — WestJet has launched new daily nonstop service from Calgary International Airport to New York (JFK) and Prince George, BC, with inaugural flights departing at 10:35 a.m. and 10 p.m. MDT respectively.

“John F. Kennedy International Airport is the busiest international passenger gateway in the United States and a hub for our U.S. partners, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s Director, Network and Schedule Planning. “With our WestJet code on some 17 flights from JFK, this new daily nonstop service from Calgary offers Canadians low fares and our remarkable guest experience to even more destinations around the world.”

The new route also means easier access to Manhattan via AirTrain JFK.

WestJet has also launched new daily nonstop flights between Calgary and Prince George which became a part of the WestJet family in 1999.

“Prince George is one of WestJet’s early destinations and we are very grateful for the strong support of northern British Columbians over the past 15 years,” said Weatherill. “Residents have asked for additional service and now our guests will have the opportunity to take an early-morning, 90-minute flight to Calgary and connect to 27 destinations throughout the WestJet world.”
