TORONTO — In celebration of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises’ 2014 season and the launch of the newest Super Ship, S.S. Catherine, and newest destination, Bordeaux, France, the line is launching an ‘OOH LA LA’ travel agent promotion with a chance for agents to win one of three France Boutique River Cruises.
Travel agents simply book any 2014 Uniworld boutique river cruises from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, 2013, and they can enter for their chance to win one of three France boutique river cruises for them and a guest.
The grand prize is ‘A Portrait of Majestic France’ cruise from Paris to Bordeaux for 15 days onboard the River Baroness and River Royale with economy air for two; first place prize is a Burgundy & Provence cruise from Avignon to Lyon for eight days onboard Uniworld’s new Super Ship, S.S. Catherine, for two; second place prize is a Bordeaux, Vineyards, & Châteaux cruise Bordeaux to Bordeaux for eight days onboard the River Royale for two.
Uniworld will launch their newest Super Ship, S.S. Catherine, which is the sister ship to Uniworld’s S.S. Antoinette. The S.S. Catherine will be designed by the design team of Uniworld’s sister company, the Red Carnation Hotel Collection. While the S.S. Catherine will be the sister ship to the S.S. Antoinette, she will be styled in a fashion to reflect her new home along the Rhône and Saône rivers of Burgundy and Provence.
Uniworld’s River Royale, currently sailing these rivers, will move to her new home in Uniworld’s newest destination, France’s Bordeaux region and will undergo a redesign including a new dining area on the sundeck – similar to L’Orangerie on the S.S. Antoinette.
In addition to Uniworld’s new super ship and new itineraries in France, the line will also be looking back at the past with a focus on Normandy to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. In 2014, Uniworld has special events planned all season long on the 8-day ‘Paris & Normandy’, 15-day ‘Grand France’, or the newest itinerary, 15-day ‘A Portrait of Majestic France’. Featured World War II Memorial events include the D-Day Museum at Arromanches and a choice for Uniworld guests to visit either the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial or Juno Beach Centre.
