UIA ready to put 777 on Kyiv route ex Toronto starting Nov. 20

TORONTO — Starting Nov. 20 Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is bringing B777 service back to Toronto.

The move is in response to market demand and commercial success from UIA’s spring/summer 2019 season, says Karl Müller, Canada Director for Airlinepros – the GSA for UIA in Canada.

“Serving YYZ once again due to very strong market demand, the B777 – with 3 class service, Business, Y Premium and Economy – will be once again serving our travelling guests and diverse agency support network from across Canada,” says Müller.

Initially the B767 was to have served Toronto rest of 2019 and into 2020, but heightened demand from leisure and business segments on UIA connecting routes via Kyiv have resulted in this “very positive adjustment” remaining in place until further notice, he adds.

“This change means an additional 1,200 seats a month available, on top of the current monthly 3,000, to book those wanting to visit destinations served by UIA in Ukraine, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Asia and a host of others,” says Müller.

Throughfares from other Canadian cities are available thanks to UIA’s interline agreements with WestJet and Air Canada.
