UIA migrates to Amadeus GDS & PROS platforms

KIEV, Ukraine — Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has successfully migrated to the Amadeus Altea Passenger Service System (GDS) and PROS Origin&Destination Revenue Management System, a move that supports its rapidly expanding business operations and offers a vast selection of travel options to passengers.

The introduction of Amadeus Altea advanced technology solution from Amadeus allows UIA to offer travel agents and passengers the lowest possible fares, as well as a wide array of ancillary services like pre-paid baggage options, pre-paid onboard meals, seat selection and more.

Moreover, by migrating to the PROS O&D platform, UIA will gain greater and faster access to PROS’ ongoing innovations, enabling it to provide the best flight options and fares.

“Thanks to the joint efforts of the UIA and partner teams, we managed to implement the unique and large-scale project of migrating to the new platforms in record time,” said Gregg Truman, GM North America. “UIA is one of the few airlines in the world that has simultaneously launched complex passenger service and revenue management systems. These technological improvements will enable UIA to more efficiently respond to today’s dynamic market environment, boost business operations and offer better service to our global customers.”

Within the next few years, UIA plans to grow its fleet to 91 aircraft, launch new routes in North America and carry over 20 million passengers annually.
