Two Canadian agents among finalists for Rail Europe’s fam contest

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Two Canadians have been named finalists in Rail Europe’s ‘My Dream Itinerary’ contest, winning a spot on a mini-fam to Europe.

Wendy Weir of The Travel Agent Next Door in Ontario and Leanne Esau of Uniglobe Phillips Travel in B.C. join two other finalists (Barton Matthews of Eurobound and Rachel Tramel of The Travel Authority) as Rail Europe’s final four agents. They each have won a spot on the all-expense paid mini-fam as well as a leather Tech Wallet from Mark and Graham.

The Grand Prize winner will have their Dream Itinerary used for the mini-fam, not to mention bragging rights for ‘Best Overall Eurail Global Pass itinerary’ and a two-piece set of monogrammed luggage in their choice of colour from Mark and Graham.

As part of the contest, participating agents were asked to create itineraries that would motivate others to see Europe by train. For inspiration, they were able to use Rail Europe’s online Travel Planner to help build their ‘Dream Itinerary’.

Travel agents and consumers were then asked to select the best overall experience using the new Eurail Global Pass from among the four finalists’ itineraries. The best overall itinerary will then be used to lead the fam for the four winning agents.

Voting runs from June 3-28, 2019 on the contest website at www.raileurope-mydreamitinerary.com where the finalists’ itineraries are posted. Voting will be open to the travel trade, consumers, friends and family. One vote per person, per day is allowed and is subject to registration.

Each of the four finalists will co-present their itinerary in a webinar for agents. Agents who attend one or all four of the webinars earn a $20 Amazon gift card. Registration is available at www.raileurope-mydreamitinerary.com.
