Turtle Bay Resort opens Vista Level room and suite concept, and Roy’s Beach House, as next phase in multimillion dollar reno

Turtle Bay Resort (Oahu’s only North Shore Resort) is making headway with its $52 million multi-phase renovation.

In August it opened the much-anticipated Roy’s Beach House oceanfront destination restaurant and this month debuted its new Vista Level upscale guest room and suite concept.

Heralded as the very first restaurant on the beach from celebrity chef, Roy Yamaguchi, Roy’s Beach House will offer Turtle Bay guests and North Shore visitors the opportunity to experience Chef Roy’s Hawaiian cuisine in an entirely new way.

Opening last month, Roy’s Beach House is a 140-seat, open-air destination restaurant situated on Kuilima Cove – once frequented by Hawaiian royalty – and offers sweeping ocean views accentuated by two stunning reef points. Roy’s Beach House offers a casual, yet chic dining experience that recalls a charming beach house living room and features an open-air pavilion, indoor and outdoor seating, a centerpiece natural wood bar, special take-out window serving lighter fare and drinks for beachgoers as well as a 50-seat lanai area for oceanfront gatherings, parties and celebrations.

Serving the Hawaiian fusion cuisine Roy’s restaurants are known for, Roy’s Beach House features innovative dishes with an emphasis on local seafood that utilize the freshest bounty and ingredients from the sea and surrounding landscape – all prepared in Roy’s signature style where bold flavours draw influences from French, Japanese, South Asian and California cooking traditions along with local flavour profiles from the North Shore and surrounding islands.

The restaurant’s take-out window allows beachgoers to order and enjoy food and select alcoholic beverages right on the sand while taking in the sounds and views of the North Shore’s legendary waves.

Opening just this month, Vista Level Guest Rooms & Suites, located on the top sixth floor of Turtle Bay Resort’s main building, feature private balconies and ocean views and usher in a new level of upscale amenities and services for guests.

These new services include a dedicated concierge starting with pre-arrival ‘experience building’ where concierges can book activities, make dining reservations and coordinate special arrangements prior to arrival.

Other amenities include daily continental breakfast for two; afternoon and early evening snacks, tea and coffee; upgraded slippers, robes and beach towels; all-day snorkel gear use; buy-one-get-one-free fitness classes and private group golf lessons as well as 20% off horseback riding offerings. Premium turn-down service, express pass service at Kula Grille and Paʻakai restaurants and guaranteed late check-out of 12 p.m. are also offered to Vista Level guests.
