Transat, WestJet, Globus kick off Canada Day celebrations with big sales

TORONTO — WestJet and Transat are marking the lead up to this weekend’s Canada 150 celebrations with new Canada Day sales offering deals on both flights and packages.

Air Transat is inviting Canadians to fly and vacation for less during its Canada Day sale with discounts to Europe, the South, Florida and Canada. Bookings must be made by July 3 for travel Aug. 1 – Nov. 30.
Transat’s sale applies to over 60 destinations in all. There are South package deals to Cuba, Mexico, Jamaica and the D.R., Florida package deals and special pricing on cruise vacations in both the Caribbean and Europe.

With Air Transat passengers can get deals on flights to London, Amsterdam and Rome, to gateways here at home including Montreal, Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver.

WestJet’s Canada Day sale runs until June 29 and covers Canada and the U.S. as well as Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Travel windows are July 27 to Sept. 30 for travel within Canada or to the U.S., and Sept. 6 – Dec. 12 for travel to Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

Blackout dates are Aug. 3 – 5, Aug. 7 – 8, Aug. 31 – Sept. 1 and Sept. 4 – 5. WestJet says the lowest fares apply to travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Globus family of brands – Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and Avalon Waterways – is also celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday with a sale of $150 off per person from every one of their 2017 tours over six days in duration.

“All you have to do is book clients between June 28 and July 11 to take advantage of the sale which will apply to tours as diverse as African safaris and Icelandic explorations, Canadian train journeys and European river cruises,” says the company. Find out more at agentlingo.ca.
