Tourism New Zealand launches trade campaign, brings back popular fam program

TORONTO — Tourism New Zealand is helping to empower North American travel advisors with its latest travel trade campaign, which includes a host of tools and resources designed to better sell the destination.

Called ‘New Zealand Next’, the campaign gives agents access to interactive planning tools, sharable content and themed trips so that they can, in turn, provide top-notch recommendations to their clients.

“As one of the first countries to see the sun, New Zealanders have a bit more time to welcome your clients, look after them and help make their New Zealand experience more meaningful,” said Michelle Rosenberg, Senior Trade Manager with Tourism New Zealand.

Agents can interact with the campaign via Tourism New Zealand’s owned, paid and partner media channels to become experts in New Zealand itineraries designed for nature lovers, foodies, adventurers, romantics, cultural explorers and active travellers.

Each month, campaign creative and messaging will change to promote one of the above themes.

Additionally, Tourism New Zealand’s Explore PLUS Independent FAM program is back with new deals and opportunities for agents to design their own trip to the destination. More than 500 air, land, accommodation and attraction discounts are available to qualified advisors in the theme of each New Zealand Next itinerary.

The first 50 agents to design and take an Explore PLUS Independent FAM are eligible to receive a $500 Trip Credit cash award.

“Advisors are our most powerful destination advocates. It’s incredibly important we continue to provide the trade with innovative and engaging ways to inspire, and ultimately, convert their clients,” added Rosenberg.

To qualify for Explore PLUS, agents must hold a current NZSP certification (either Bronze, Silver or Gold). To qualify for the $500 Trip Credit, agents must apply, be approved as one of the first 50 applicants, and meet all terms & conditions.
