MONTRÉAL — Air Canada Vacations is gearing up for a more connected vacation booking experience, with a new technology partnership set to reshape how customers and travel advisors plan and book trips.
The tour operator has partnered with global travel technology company Juniper Travel Technology to modernize how travellers discover, build and book vacations.
The platform is expected to provide customers and travel advisors with access to a wider range of travel products worldwide, including hotels, cruises, tours, attractions, car rentals and rail.
It will also support more flexible vacation packaging, customization options and a more personalized shopping experience.
“This partnership is a foundational step in the evolution of Air Canada Vacations,” said Nino Montagnese, Vice President at Air Canada Vacations. “By combining Juniper’s travel technology expertise with the strength of Air Canada Vacations, Air Canada’s vast global flight network and its Aeroplan loyalty program, we are creating the conditions for a more connected travel journey that offers customers greater choice and flexibility while giving travel advisors better tools to serve them.”
ENHANCED TOOLS FOR ADVISORS
The new booking platform is intended to connect more of the travel journey and support a simpler, more responsive experience for both travellers and advisors.
Over time, planned capabilities include broader access to travel products in one place, greater vacation customization, enhanced flight and ancillary options, stronger integration across Air Canada Vacations, Air Canada and Aeroplan, and more convenient digital self-service throughout the journey.
Travel advisors are also expected to benefit from expanded product access and streamlined tools designed to support efficient service and business growth.
“We are proud to partner with Air Canada Vacations at such an important moment in its evolution,” said Juan Mateos, CEO at Juniper. “Our scalable platform will help Air Canada Vacations expand choice, adapt to evolving customer needs and create a seamless travel planning experience for travellers and travel advisors alike.”
Air Canada Vacations and Juniper anticipate a multi-phased implementation and say they will work closely with travel advisors and partners to ensure a smooth transition.
