ACV’s new podcast series readies for launch

MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations is getting ready to launch a new podcast for travel advisors.

The podcasts will be primarily in French, however some episodes will be recorded in English depending on the guest, as the project’s creator and host, Nicolas Thériault, Key Account Manager at ACV, tells Profession Voyages.

Created by Thériault and Marco Gagnon, the ʻAutour Du Monde VAC’ podcast is expected to go live within the next few days on the VAC entre nous platform, which has 5,500 members.

Each year, ACV invites a number of employees to submit new ideas for connecting with travel advisors.

“This year, I proposed something that had been on my mind for a long time: launching a podcast aimed at members of the travel industry,” says Thériault, Key Account Manager at ACV.

An avid podcast listener himself whenever he’s on the road—which is often—Thériault is well acquainted with the medium, appreciating the convenience of listening anytime, anywhere.

“For several years now, podcasts of all kinds have become increasingly popular, including in the travel sector. I thought there was room to create one specifically for Quebec’s travel advisor community,” says the project’s creator and host.

Behind the scenes, his colleague Gagnon, ACVʻs Director of Sales for Quebec, Ottawa and Atlantic Canada, oversees the technical production while also helping bring the podcast to life.

INFORMATIVE & ENGAGING CONVERSATIONS

Beyond keeping travel advisors informed through conversations with industry professionals, the two hosts also want to entertain listeners by exploring a more personal side of their guests.

“I had the opportunity to be a guest on Air Canada Vacations’ brand-new podcast for travel advisors,” says Sara Tommasel, Business Development Director for Greater Montreal, Ottawa and New Brunswick at Norwegian Cruise Line. “Nicolas and I chatted about cruising and trending itineraries, and I even shared some of my favourite destinations for 2026.”

“From the outside, our travel industry community is something many people admire,” says Thériault. “People see us as united and supportive, and they appreciate the strong sense of camaraderie we have. That’s very much the spirit we want to capture with this podcast.”

So far, two episodes have been recorded and are ready for release. Alongside the episode featuring Sara Tommasel – which will be released second – the debut episode will spotlight Orelbys Vigoa, Business Development Director for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection in Quebec. That will be followed by an episode with Josée Rouleau, CroisiEurope’s new Commercial Representative for Eastern Canada.

“But I already have a long list of people I’d love to invite—many of whom don’t know it yet, but I’ll be reaching out to them soon!” adds Thériault.

DESIGNED FOR THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY

Running approximately 30 minutes each, the podcast episodes are aimed primarily at the travel advisor community and were created with that audience in mind.

“Since the episodes will be hosted on YouTube, anyone will be free to share them with whomever they like,” says Gagnon. While the team isn’t ruling out making the podcast available on major platforms such as Spotify in the future, for now it will be distributed exclusively through VAC entre nous, Air Canada Vacations’ private Facebook community for travel advisors managed by its sales team.

Initially, new episodes will be released once a month, with the first expected to be available very soon.

“I’m pushing hard to have it out as early as this Friday – or Monday at the latest,” says Gagnon.

“While most of our guests will be supplier partners from across the industry, Air Canada Vacations team members and executives will also join us from time to time, and some of them are English-only speakers,” adds Thériault.

More details will be announced soon. In the meantime, travel advisors who don’t want to miss an episode can join VAC entre nous, if they aren’t already members.
