Todd Ryan has been named Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts –  Eastern Canada. Ryan will be based at the 496-room Westin Ottawa located on Colonel By Drive overlooking the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill. With direct responsibility for the sales and marketing efforts at The Westin Ottawa, Ryan will also partner with the sales and marketing leaders at the Starwood owned and managed hotels in Eastern Canada. He brings more than 15 years of hotelier and sales expertise to the position. He moves to Canada’s capital from New York City, where he was most recently Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Starwood Hotels in the New York and New Jersey area. Previously he was Director of Sales and Marketing at the 1,000-room Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel. Ryan had previous sales and marketing tenures in San Antonio, Monterey and San Francisco, experiencing Westin, Sheraton, Hilton and Hyatt brands.
