TICO seeks to engage with registrants and travel agents in a new round of Industry Forums

MISSISSAUGA, ON — The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is once again hosting a series of Industry Forums to share information and secure input from registrants and travel agents.

In these sessions, TICO will be presenting information on its mandate and current initiatives and will seek feedback on a variety of issues of importance to the Ontario travel industry.

Input received from participants at TICO’s Industry Forums has had significant impact on the way TICO communicates and works with the industry and promotes the industry to the public. Similarly, participants have gained increased insight into being part of a regulated industry and the value of associating their business with TICO.

Participants have had the opportunity to address a broad range of issues and the new round of Forums will continue that tradition.

While there are a number of Forum sessions, the participation at each session remains limited. TICO will be holding sessions around the province but each will only accommodate a maximum of 15 participants and all of the sessions will be booked on a first-come-first-served basis.

Meals and refreshments will be provided during the sessions.

Any TICO registrant or travel agent working for a TICO registrant can register to attend one of the sessions. There is no fee to attend. Registration can be done online by e-mailing tico@tico.ca or by phone at 905-624-6241 ext. 233 or toll free at 1-888-451-TICO (8426) ext. 233.

Sessions are held from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 28 at the TICO offices in Mississauga; Thursday, May 1 at the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel; Thursday, May 8 at the Novotel in Ottawa; Tuesday, May 13 at the Radisson Hotel Toronto East in Scarborough; Thursday, May 15 at the Holiday Inn & Suites (Ambassador Bridge), Windsor; Thursday, May 22 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Cambridge; Tuesday, May 27 at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Barrie.
