TORONTO — A group of consumers who did not receive travel services for which they had paid will receive compensation courtesy of TICO.
On March 28, the organization’s Board of Directors approved payment of $6,848 to assist the eight consumers. Payment was due to the closure of Akkiratourz Ltd. In Toronto ($5,950) and SkyGreece Airlines S.A. ($898).
The Board denied one claim as the travel services being claimed were available, but were not received due to an act or a failure to act on the part of the customer or of another person for whom the travel services were purchased.
