This new mobile app will change the way travellers cruise on Holland America

SEATTLE – Holland America Line has launched a free user-friendly app for mobile phones and tablets to be used onboard.

Designed to enhance its popular browser-based Navigator tool, the Navigator app allows guests to play daily activities, explore and book shore excursions, view restaurant menus and make dining reservations, view spa treatments, check their account statements and more. Another feature that is expected to be popular is the chat function, enabling guests to communicate with each other onboard.

Passengers are also able to personalize their daily schedule through selecting and saving activities. Reminders and alerts can be set up to notify users of reservations, messages and other features. Activities appear alongside booked dining reservations and shore excursions, which will keep everything easily accessible in one place.

The app can be downloaded prior to embarking or once onboard free of charge without the use of Internet minutes. iPhone and Android users can download the app from the iTunes App and Google Play stores, respectively.

Holland America Line will extend the app offerings for both mobile phones and tablets in the coming months (it is currently only available to use during a guest’s cruise). Pre-voyage access will ensure guests can review available services and check out the interactive fleet map at any time before boarding the ship.
