Applicable to Trafalgar, Contiki, Insight Vacations, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations and Luxury Gold, the new policy first came into effect on Sept. 1, 2021 and will remain until at least Dec. 31, 2022. It was originally set to expire on Dec. 31, 2021.

With the policy, clients are required to show documented proof of having received two doses of approved COVID-19 vaccines from either Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca, or one dose from Johnson & Johnson. The final dose of the vaccine must have been administered a minimum of 15 days prior to departure.

“Further to our vaccine policy announcement and following a positive response from valued travel advisors, partners and guests, we have extended the policy to last at least through the end of 2022,” said Jeff Element, President of The Travel Corporation Canada. “The wellbeing of our guests and teams on the road remain our top priority and we’re proud to continue delivering the seamless and incredible travel experiences we are known for while ensuring clients’ peace of mind.”

Clients booked with the brands will need to provide proof of an approved COVID-19 vaccination to their Wellbeing Director, Travel Director, Trip Manager of Travelling Concierge prior to joining the tour and upon arrival to their destination. They will additionally need to comply with specific PCR testing requirements imposed by airlines and/or destinations, which may differ from country to country.

As part of TTC’s enhanced arrival protocols, Travel or Wellbeing Directors will complete temperature checks and guests will be required to complete a health questionnaire. Anyone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or missing/incomplete testing or vaccination documents will be referred for additional testing before being allowed to join the group. Additional screenings by Travel and Wellbeing Directors, restaurants and other may also be conducted throughout the trip.
