TORONTO — Travelweek is inviting Canadian travel advisors to discover how artificial intelligence can help them work smarter, save time and grow their businesses with an upcoming webinar, AI Unleashed with Claude.
Taking place Sept. 23 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. ET, the free webinar will focus on practical applications of Claude, showing advisors how the AI platform can be incorporated into everyday travel agency workflows.

Hosted by Devin Kinasz, Publisher of Travelweek, the session will explore ways advisors can use Claude for research, content creation, itinerary development, client communications, document analysis, brainstorming and other time-consuming tasks.
“AI is moving incredibly quickly, but travel advisors don’t need to become technology experts to benefit from it,” said Kinasz. “What they need are practical examples that show them how these tools can make their actual working day easier. That’s what we’re going to focus on.”
Kinasz says the opportunity extends well beyond using AI as a writing assistant.
“The real power of AI is not asking it to write one email for you. It’s starting to identify the repetitive work you do every week and asking, ‘How much of this could AI help me with?’ Once you begin thinking that way, the productivity gains can become significant.”
CLAUDE TAKES CENTRE STAGE
The webinar will focus specifically on Claude and how travel professionals can incorporate the platform into their businesses.
Participants will see examples of how AI can help organize and analyze large amounts of information, develop and refine client-facing content, assist with destination and itinerary research and speed up administrative and creative tasks.
Kinasz says the objective is not to replace the expertise travel advisors bring to their clients, but to give them more time to use it.
“Travel is still an incredibly human business. Relationships, experience, judgement and trust are what great advisors bring to the table,” she said. “AI should support that. If technology can take some of the lower-value work off an advisor’s plate and give them more time to sell, connect with clients and provide great service, that’s a win.”
DESTINATION SPOTLIGHT: COLOMBIA
The webinar will also feature Juan Sebastian Sanchez Chica of ProColombia for a special destination segment highlighting Colombia’s expanding tourism opportunities.
Colombia has been strengthening its presence in the Canadian market. “Canada and Colombia are closer than we think – not just geographically, but in how easily our people connect,” says Sanchez.
Colombia’s tourism proposition spans sustainability, community-based tourism, luxury, culture, wellness, nature and adventure, sun and beach and other rapidly developing segments. ProColombia has also been encouraging travellers and the trade to look beyond individual gateway cities and consider the country’s dramatically different tourism regions.
“We want to give you the tools to really understand the destination and connect with the right partners,” says Sanchezt.
WORKING SMARTER WITH AI
For Kinasz, AI Unleashed is ultimately about helping advisors move beyond experimenting with AI and begin putting it to productive use.
“There’s a huge difference between occasionally playing around with AI and actually integrating it into the way you work,” she said. “Travel advisors are busy. If we can show them ways to reclaim even a few hours every week while improving what they’re producing for their clients, that’s immediately valuable.”
And she believes learning how to use the technology is quickly becoming an important business skill.
“AI isn’t something that’s coming five years from now. It’s already here,” added Kinasz. “The advisors who start learning these tools now have an opportunity to become more efficient, more creative and ultimately spend more of their time doing the things that actually grow their businesses.”
