Sunwing Vacations announces new kids promo & opening date of two new Royalton resorts

TORONTO — Families can get away for less this spring and summer with Sunwing Vacations’ new ‘Kids FLY, Stay, Play and Eat FREE’ promotion.

Available in limited numbers across a wide selection of resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico, Cuba and Central America, the promotion offers the first child on each new booking confirmed by May 6 to fly, stay, play and eat free while supplies last.

Sunwing Vacations has included several of its most popular kid-friendly resorts within this time-limited promotion. These include Sunwing’s Smile Resorts, which offer ‘Kids Stay, Play and Eat FREE’ deals all year round, together with no single supplement for one-parent families, complimentary beach towels, bottled water in room and more.

Located on the Dominican Republic’s Costa Dorada beachfront, Be Live Collection Marien offers a kids club, dedicated children’s pool, games room, playground as well as an array of complimentary non-motorized water sports and nightly entertainment. There’s also an on-site spa for parents to indulge in.

Another ideal option for families are Memories Grand Bahama Beach and Casino Resort, where children can enjoy a large splash pad with water slides and meet cartoon favourites Toopy and Binoo and the Berenstain Bears. Situated on Lucaya Beach, the resort also boasts complimentary kids programs from tots to teens, non-motorized water sports, dining across three à la carte restaurants, a Vegas-style casino and complimentary unlimited green fees at the nearby championship 18-hole golf course.

Families should also consider one of Sunwing Vacations’ Kidcation Tested resorts. Situated across the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, these family-friendly properties all come with the approval of Sunwing’s own junior travel critics – kidcation testers – who have personally reviewed them.

If you know a child who would like to be a kidcation tester, they have until June 30, 2016 to enter to win a chance to review one of Sunwing’s favourite family-oriented resorts in person. Go to kidcationtester.hscampaigns.com/ for more information.

Also making news for Sunwing Vacations, it’s been announced that two new all-inclusive luxury resorts will be opening on Feb. 1, 2017. The Royalton Saint Lucia Resort & Spa, and Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia – an adult oasis within the resort – are situated on a pristine stretch of beachfront on Saint Lucia’s northwestern shore.

Boasting 361 modern luxury suites, vacationers can choose from a selection of upgrade options, including in-room Jacuzzis and swim-out pools. All come complete with Royalton’s signature DreamBed, rain showers, 24-hour room service, daily restocked minibar, free Wi-Fi and a balcony or terrace.

Guests at the Royalton Saint Lucia will enjoy games and activities at the supervised Clubhouse Kids Club with Max & Ruby and Mike the Knight. There’ll also be a Hangout Teens Club, splash pad, non-motorized water sports and The Royal Spa.

Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia allows couples and friends to unwind in a tranquil haven yet still enjoy all the facilities of the entire resort. Perfect for honeymooners, Hideaway offers 94 luxurious suites with all of Royalton’s premium All-In Luxury features and amenities. The resort also benefits from an adults-only infinity pool, exclusive beach area with waiter service and the adults-only restaurant Dorado.

Vacation packages to both resorts are now available for sale. A week’s stay at the Royalton Saint Lucia starts from $2,095 plus $360 taxes per person, based on two people sharing a Luxury Junior Suite, departing May 13, 2017. Prices include return flights on Sunwing Airlines, which will begin a weekly direct service to the island each Saturday from Toronto, commencing Feb. 11, 2017.
